Pla de Bages in the centre of Catalunya has a higher temperature
difference between winter and summer than the coastal areas. Likewise it
has a low relative humidity. The wines are similar to those of the Penedès,
although yields are slightly lower due to the characteristics of soil and
climate. Average altitude of the vineyards is slightly higher than other
areas, around 400m above sea level. |
